Conversation Study 01

みんなさんお元気ですか?　Am I being useful? I hope so. *hehe*

Today, and probably every Friday, we are going to view some conversation. I will start slow and then I hope I can get to write posts as big as the lessons in "Breaking into Japanese literature", which is a really nice book (not for absolute beginners tough).

じゃあ、始めましょうか?

会話　ー　かいわ　ー　Conversation

A:今日ケキを作ります。ケキが好きですか?
きょうケキをつくります。ケキがすきですか？
Today I will prepare some cake. Do you like cake?

B:ええ、ケキがとても好きです！チョコレートは最高のケキですよ。
ええ、ケキがとてもすきです。チョコレートは最高ですよ。
Yes, I like cake very much.Chocolate (cake) is the best for sure.

A:ええと。。。ざんねんですね、ミルクがありません。
Let me see... how bad, there is no milk.

B:そうですが、近くにスーパーがありませんか？
そうですが、ちかくにスーパーがありませんか？
Oh is that it? Isn't there a supermarktet near here?

A:ああ、スーパーがあります。
ああ、スーパーがあります。
ah! there is a supermarket.

B:この時間にもう開けていますか?
この時間にももう開けていますか？
Is it already opened this hour?

A:ええ、ぜひ。
yes, for sure.

You will hear 「そうです」 quite a lot in Nihongo conversations as it is one of the Nihongo's trademarks.

Well, it is midnight here. I had a reaaallly hard day so I'm very very tired. As for our practice let's review the text, translate and understand words that you may have missed initialy and then we try to create a text in the same model but using the words you know, ok?
